I had never used Zend Framework before, though had used Symfony with a PHP project a few years earlier. I was asked to be the PHP developer for a new and innovative offering from a well-known NZ bank. So it was a “0-60 in ten minutes” job, and I grew to like ZF very much.
I built a ZF PHP backend app receiving transaction requests from a customer’s iPhone, and placed them on a MySQL database. These transactions needed verification via a continuous cycle of once-only passwords. The requests prompted bank transfers. I also built a variety of operator screens to manage accounts and requests, provide reports and diagnostics.
