Topologika Access Database

Topologika was a small company offering educational software. They wanted a neat bespoke Microsoft Access database to help them with their Sales, Customers and deliveries.

They have thousands of customers – the main screen allows searches by school name, number, postcode and person name. The results can be sorted, and one click shows a detail view of the products which have been bought.

Topologika chose MS-Access so that they could do customised queries themselves, but wanted some common ones available immediately – the favourite is to find people who bought X and have not (yet) bought Y. This allows Topologika to build targetted mailings for interested parties, apart from the days when the usually-reliable Dymo Label Printer has a tantrum and misjudges its borders.
