The industry group NZ Realtors Network had a good and well-established website, showcasing the current listings of their members. The site depended on old technology and had become increasingly incompatible with modern servers. NZR asked the Auckland design agency Graphic Detail to migrate it to WordPress. GD soon did most of the hard work and got a good chunk of it converted over. But I was pleased when they asked me to handle the conversion of the continuous import process, which collected listing data in XML format from RealEstate.co.nz via their API.

Additionally, I built the listings search feature, and the ability to show listings by office and agent. Users are able to save favourite listings and open home dates, which just needed a small touch of JQuery Ajax to chat with the backend.

2022
